The directed self-assembly using block copolymers have been widely studied due to the promising applications such as nano fabrication devices. Microdomain orientation of the block copolymer thin films was investigated with Polystyrene-b-Poly (methylmethacrylate), PS-b-PMMA in terms of the turned surface neutrality. The surface modified by random copolymer brushes, functionalized random copolymer with varying PS/PMA compositions from 0.5 to 0.8, was obtained by thermal annealing to make linkages between random copolymer and oxide. From the thickness windows for vertical orientations of cylindrical microdomain, the real neutral surface with the balanced interfacial interactions could be expected. ([email protected]) |
