제목 Synthesis of Well defined Polymers via Living Radical Polymerization and Preparation of Polystyrene/carbon blackMicrospheres
초록 Recently lots of researchers are interested in living free radical polymerization which is a very unique synthesis way combining advantage of radical polymerization and conventional living polymerization. In this study, polystyrene of controlled molecular weight were synthesized by living radical polymerization, and from the prepared polystyrene, microsphere polymer particles were made in an electrostatic field. Using the prepared PS polymer, spherical polymer particles were obtained in an electrostatic field. Besides, the effect of polymer concentration and molecular weight on the formation of spherical polymer particle was investigated. It was found that polymer spheres were formed from more than 20 wt % of the polymer concentration, more stable at 30 wt%. When the number averaged molecular weight of the polymers was less than 8,000 g/mol and more than 40,000 g/mol, the fabric shape of polymers were made, not the spherical form.
