The polyacrylonitrile (PAN) based fiberswere synthesized by using electrospinning followed by heat treatment. Due to the strong electron-withdrawing capability, boron atoms are doped into graphene, forming boron doped graphene (BG) via a catalyst-free thermal annealing approach in the presence of boron oxide. PAN was used as electrospinning matrix and a carbon sources. Polypyrrole (PPy) was coated on the electrospun composite fibers (PAN/BG/PPy)by in situ chemical polymerization to improve the electrochemical performance. The inclusion of boron doped graphenewith Polypyrrole was confirmed by FT-IR and Raman spectra and corresponding morphology and crystallinity were observed by SEM, TEM, and XRD analysis. The bulk electrical conductivity of the composites was measured using a four-point probe method at room temperature. The electrochemical characteristics were evaluated by galvanostatic charge/discharge and cyclic voltammetry (CV). |
