Wound dressing material which has a three-dimensional structure, was generally made up of hydrophilic PVA hydrogels due to its physical property such as transparent, flexible, mechanically strong and easily adhered to tissue. They can be prevented contamination of microorganisms from outside. For these reasons, the ideal dressing materials required a wet environment and removal of excess exudates to maintain a bacteria balance. During UV-polymerization they are not use toxic solvent and can minimize the possible side reactions and show fast polymerization. Photoactive hydrogels have better mechanical properties and flexibility compare with that of the PVA hydrogel. In this experiment, the physical properties and healing effects of the PVA hydrogels and UV curable PVA hydrogels are investigated. |
