제목 Bending-Stress-Driven Phase Transition in Pentacene Thin Films for Flexible Organic Thin Film Transistors
초록 We have investigated the effect of strain on the structure and electrical characteristics of the nanoscale active layer. The field-effect mobility of the pentacene FET with the compressive-strained pentacene film increased by 13% at strain of 1.2%, while that of the pentacene FET with the tensile-strained pentacene film decreased by 27% at strain of 1.3%. The change in the mobility under strain resulted from bending-stress driven phase transition in pentacene films between the bulk phase and the thin film phase, which was driven by the change in-plane dimension of unit cells between two phases to reduce the external bending stress.
