In this study, preparation of ion exchange membranes based on sulfonated poly (ether ether ketone) (sPEEK). The solution mixed with sPEEK as a substrate polymer, 4,4’-ethyldianiline as a cross-linking reagent and 2-phenylethylamine as a grafting reagent was casted. Then 4,4’-ethyldianiline, 2-phenylethylamine were boned on sPEEK by imination reaction. Finally sulfonate groups were boned on 2-phenylethylamine grafted on the backbone of sPEEK by sulfonation reaction.The sPEEK ion exchange membranes were characterized by proton conductivity, ion-exchange capacity and water uptake. |
