제목 | Direct amination of polyols using ammonia |
초록 | Amines are industrially essential intermediates. Primary amines in particular are useful intermediates for further derivatization reactions. the reductive amination of the corresponding carbonyl compounds has been the major method to produce aliphatic amines on the industrial scale. Instead of using aldehydes or ketones the direct synthesis of primary amines from alcohols using NH3 via “borrowing hydrogen” also called “hydrogen auto-transfer”, has recently received much attention. Advantageously, the hydrogen required for the final hydrogenation step is henerated completely by dehydrohenation of the alcohol. Hence, there is no need for additional hydrogen gas and severe reaction conditions of high temperature and pressure. Furthermore, the sensitive carbonyl compound is produced in situ in low concentration. In this study, borrowing hydrogen method has been successfully applied to converting polyols to polyetheramines using ruthenium based catalyst and biocatalyst system. |
