In this work, we prepared PMMA/PU composite films to enhance hydrophobic property of PU Film by controlling of the surface morphology of films depend on PMMA beads contents. With this purpose, we synthesized cross-linked poly methyl methacrylate beads and cross-linked fluorinated poly methacryalte copolymer (F-cPMMA) beads by the dispersion polymerization method with methyl methacrylate monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate, and 2,2,2-trifuloroethyl methacrylate. The size of cross-linked PMMA and F-cPMMA beads was about 100 nm. And then the mixtures were coated on the glass using mayer bar. The coated mixtures were dried at 140 °C for 30 min. and the peel offed from glass. The prepared PU/PMMA beads composite films were analysed using FE-SEM, Contact angle measurement, FT-IR. The structural and hydrophobic properties of PMMA beads containing PU films were systematically characterized. |
