Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) are a one-dimensional material that possesses excellent mechanical strength and electrical and thermal conductivity. Bisphenol-A polycarbonate (PC) has experienced substantial growth in its use since its introduction in the late 1950s. PC is useful material in broad parts of commercial industry, example electronic device, phone case and lens. it is especially suitable for the housings of electrical devices, but its applications are often limited because of its low stiffness, strength. In this study, we attempted to enhance of mechanical properties of PC by MWCNTs. Dispersion of MWCNTs in PC was not good, so we treat chemical process on MWCNTs for enhance of dispersion and adhesion. We know that PMMA was easily blend with PC. So we grafted PMMA on MWCNTs, and then composites with PC. |
