Preparation of Sulfur-incorporated Carbon Quantum Dots through Simple Microwave Treatments of Lysine and Cysteine |

Polyamidation monomers such as A2/B3 type or AB2 type monomers can be simply utilized for the synthesis of highly fluorescent carbon quantum dots (CQDs) through microwave operation. Amino acids are good monomer systems for the synthesis of CQDs in this approach because amino acids are various AB2 type or AB type polyamidation monomers. In this study, lysine as an AB2 type monomer and cysteine as an sulfur-containing AB type monomer were used together for the construction of N-doped and N/S-doped CQDs depending on the relative feeding ratio of lysine and cysteine. The optoelectrical performance of prepared CQDs will be discussed in detail. 2017년 한국교통대학교 지원을 받아 수행하였음. |
