Cloning and Expression of the Genes Encoding Cellulases from Various Cellulolytic Fungi |

Recently, attention has focused on cellulases produced by microorganisms because of their potential to be produced industrially and used in degradation of biomass for a number of applications, most notably biofuel production. Since most fungi produce a large amount of extracellular cellulases, they have been widely studied and utilized for industrial applications. In this study, the fungal strains with EG and CBH activity were isolated from rotten mandarin peel and rice straw. Determine the cDNA sequence and investigate for recombinant cellulases expression. Further studies on the fermentation of the glucose derived from enzymatic saccharification will be investigated for bioethanol production. |
