제목 | Solubility of L(+)-calcium lactate in alcohol+water mixture systems |
초록 | L(+)-clacium lactateis important raw material for food, pfarmaceutics and polymer industries. Pecently, dye to broadening its applicability to medicine and biodegradable polymers, the commertial production of the L(+)-calcium lactate becomes a major interest in biochemical engineering field. Since L(+)-calcium lactate is usually produced via bio-reaction(fermantation), its recovery from the aqueous solution is one of important concerns for the commertial production. However, the thermodynamic equilibrium of L(+)-calcium lactate in the solution, which is a key for design of the recovery process, has not properly been studied yet. Thereby, in the present study, we investigate the solubility of L(+)-calcium lactate in water+alcohol mixture systems via varying with composition and backbones of alcohols such as methanol, ethanol, n-propanol, iso-propanol. In addition, based on the solid-liquid equilibrium, the solubility of L(+)-calcium lactate in the mixtures is predicted to evaluate the recovery from the mixtures. |
