We synthesize highly conductive silica/polyaniline (PANi) core/shell nanoparticles (NPs) with various diameters (from 18 nm to 130 nm), using self-stabilized dispersion polymerization. The fabricated silica/PANi core/shell NPs presented improved electrical conductivity (25.6 S/cm) compared with the NPs (1.4 S/cm) prepared by homogeneous dispersion polymerization method. Additionally, prepared silica/PANi core/shell NPs performed capacitance as high as 305 F g−1. The chemical structure of produced silica/PANi core/shell NPs was characterized by several analysis techniques such as FT-IR (Fourier transform infrared), XRD (X-ray diffraction), and NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) spectroscopy. |
