제목 Ultrathin polypyrrole nanosheets doped by HCl for counter electrode of dye-sensitized solar cells
초록 Ultrathin polypyrrole nanosheets (UPNS) were synthesized by chemical oxidation via organic single crystal surface induced (OCSP), composed of sodium decylsulfonate (SDSn) as templates. The UPNS was deposited onto a transparent conductive oxide glasses as catalytic counter electrodes (CEs), which has 94 % transmittance against the Pt CE. Hydrochloric acid (HCl, 35 wt %) was used to improve catalytic activity with vapor state post doping process. Through the treatment, the conductivity of UPNS sample was increased by 8 S/cm with 7.4% increase of nitrogen doping level. These enhancements contributed to vitalize the catalytic activity of UPNS. Tafel polarization and impedance results supported the enhanced catalytic activity of the UPNS via HCl doping. Consequently, the dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) using UPNS CE showed respectable power conversion efficiency of 6.8%, which is 1% increment relative to non HCl doping case and comparable to that of Pt CE-based DSSCs.
