Compatibilizing Effet of block copolymer on 2-dimensional homopolymer blend film |

Diblock copolymers have been studied as surfactants for their ability to reduce the surface tension between corresponding (immiscible) homopolymer blends. However, little work has been done to measure the effect of diblock copolymers on the 2-dimensional development of thin film of homopolymer blends. Here we report the compatibilizing effect of block copolymer on the Langmuir film of corresponding homopolymers. Also we observed the morphology of LB monolayers of binary(without copolymer) and ternary(1 wt% of copolymer) blends by AFM. |
