Light scattering improves device performance in organic photovoltaic (OPV). We fabricate OPV based on based on Poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT) and [6,6]-Phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) blends with patterned molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) as HTL. The patterns are made by using electrospinning and thermal evaporation methods. After MoO3 is evaporated onto the ES nanofibers composed of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP), the fibers are etched by organic solvent for printing pattern. The devices with various pattern sizes and integration are fabricated and characterized. The effects of device performance by different pattern shapes such as random, stripe and grid are also studied. We show that the short circuit current (Jsc) of devices with the patterned MoO3 is improved compared to the non-patterned devices. |
