Rheological properties of PS/PMMA layered silicate nanocomposites with supercritical Carbon Dioxide in twin screw extruder |

Polystyrene(PS) and poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) layered siliate nanocomposites were investigated in continuous processing method for supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) assisted twin screw extrusion process. Supercritical CO2 was used for the purpose of enhancement of layered silicates. Nanocomposites were produced by one step extrusion process. Supercritical conditions in extruder were introduced by special configuration of screw element. Rheological properties of PS/PMMA nanocomposites were studied by Rotational Rheometer.
