제목 Integration of hierarchical MoS2 nanospheres on 1-D CdS nanorods for enhanced visible photocatalytic H2 evolution
초록 Despite of tremendous efforts, the development of cost effective, highly efficient and more stable visible photocatalysts for splitting of water remains a great challenge. Here, we report the heteronanostructures consisting of 3D shaped hierarchical MoS2 nanospheres grown on CdS nanorods referred to as CdS-MoS2 HNSs as a high performance visible photocatalyst for H2 evolution prepared by two-step hydrothermal process. The as-synthesized CdS-MoS2 HNSs exhibited remarkably enhanced H2 evolution activity when compared to pure CdS nanorods. This enhanced hydrogen evolution performance can be assigned to the positive synergetic effect from heteronanostructures formed between the CdS and MoS2 components and the related phenomena were studied.
