제목 Synergistic Solvent Extraction of Dysprosium and Praseodymium Using Fatty Acid and Crown Ether as Extractants
초록 The separation of praseodymium and dysprosium has been studied by solvent extraction using fatty acid such as hexanoic acid, octanoic acid, decanoic acid, and dodecanic acid in kerosene as a diluent. It seems that extractibility of dysprosium is higher than that of praseodymium at the same pH and that the pH0.5 of them is shifted to the base region as carbon chain length is loger. When using 0.05M octanoic acid as an extractant, we can get the highest separation factor of praseodymium and dysprosium which is 0.38. In order to increase the selectivity of the elements, the metal extraction experiments have been carried out in fatty acid extractant with crown ether such as 12-crown-4 ether, 15-crown-5 ether, and 18-crown-6 ether. When using 15-crown-5 ether among them, pH0.5 difference value is the highest.
