제목 Quaternarization of Poly(Vinylbenzyl Chloride)-grafted ETFE films with DABCO
초록 In this study, 1,4-diazabicyclo(2,2,2)octane (DABCO) was utilized for the quaternarization of ETFE-g-PVBC film that had prepared with a simultaneous irradiation graft copolymerization of vinylbenzyl chloride (VBC) onto an ETFE film. Quaternarization yield and the distribution of anion-exchange moiety were measured by base-acid titration and Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, respectively. The results revealed that the bulky size of the 1,4-diazabicyclo(2,2,2)octane could affect the quaternarization of ETFE-g-PVBC film. Furthermore, the properties of the synthesized anion exchange membranes such as ion exchange capacity (IEC), water uptake, mechanical properties, and ionic conductivity were also measured.
