SBA-15 has well-ordered 2D-hexagonal mesostructure with amorphous wall structure containing high surface area with structure regularity. Nevertheless, crystallized silica has excellent chemical and mechanical properties (e.g. high hydrothermal stability, strong hardness, unique photonic property, etc.) than amorphous silica. Herein, we prepared crystallized mesoporous silica using alkali-metal ions. In this way we evidenced using different alkali-metal ratios (Si/Na: 20 to 80), tremendous structure changing after calcinations at various temperature (300~900℃). We observed that some mesostructure has been collapsed and appearing with large pores (90~180 nm) while calcinations at 700℃, but the remarkable collapse of mesostructure was not appeared at low ratios i.e. 50 to 80. The mesoporous silica materials with crystalline wall may benefit future potential application in the area of high temperature catalysis, adsorption materials, separation membrane and host-guest nanotechnology. |
