제목 | 3D LiFePO4/TiN Hybrid Nanostructured Cathode for Lithium-ion Battery |
초록 | With increasing demand for miniaturized integrated power sources, fabrication of three-dimensional (3D) battery architectures providing high energy and power per unit area has been a subject of intense research. Here, we demonstrate a novel strategy for realizing titanium nitride (TiN) sandwiched 3D nanostructured LiFePO4 electrode for lithium-ion battery to concurrently achieve fast charge-discharge kinetics, good cycle stability and high capacities. Ultrathin (<60nm, porosity: 85%) and electrically conductive TiN nanoshell embedded inside LiFePO4 provide a pathway for fast transportation of electron and facilitate high mass fraction of active materials to achieve a high energy per area. Since the fabrication steps are compatible with complementary metal-oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) processing, we anticipate our concept of hybrid cathode/conducting agent materials will be applicable for practical applications. |
