Most resin monomers, which have been used in dental applications, need strong durability, samll shrinkage, biocompatibility, easy polymerization. Conventional dental restorative materials have problems such as low durability. In order to get better chemical and mechenical properties, we focused on PEEK structure, which has excellent mechanical and chemical properties, and synthesized etheretherketone based oligomer to inversigate the possibility as a dental restorative material. The aim of this study is to synthesize methacryloyl-etheretherketone (MA-EEK) using hydroxy-terminated etheretherketone (HEEK) and methacryloyl chloride (MAC) and characterize by FT-IR, 1H NMR spectroscopies. To evaluate physical properties, MA-EEK with Ethoxylated Bis-GMA (EBPDMA) in various ratio were photopolymerized and measured by universial testing machine (UTM). |
