We have developed a hierarchical 3D nanostructured graphene anode stabilized by the MoS2 nanosheet. We emphasize that the MoS2 layer can be stably maintained upon cycling by reversibly interacting with carbon surface, which enhanced the Li storage capability. To the best of our knowledge, these phenomena have not been previously reported, nor is it under consideration elsewhere. Notably, our anode has demonstrated a high discharge capacity of 1,549 mAh g−1 after 500 cycles at a rate of 1C. In addition, even at harsh condition of 20C and 100C rates, the substantial discharge capacities of 259 and 195 mAh g−1 are obtained. More critically, the interfacial stabilizing effect between graphene and MoS2 layers are carefully analyzed using a theoretical calculation in terms of the charge distribution and migration energy barriers. |
