Organic photovoltaics (OPV) devices have attracted much attention due to light weight, flexibility, and low fabrication cost. In OPV devices, the bulk heterojunction (BHJ) OPV devices have become one of the most successful device structure. Recently, the series of poly(thieno[3,4-b]thiophene)benzodithiophene (PTB) have been developed for high-efficiency OPV devices. However, conventional PTB possess regiorandom structure due to asymmetric thieno[3,4-b]thiophene, which could lead to low π-stacking orientation and hole mobility. In this study, we synthesized regioregular PTB7-Th based copolymers with A-D1-A-D2 and A-D1-A-D1 configuration, coded rr-PTBS and rr-PTB7-Th. The thermal, optical, and electrochemical properties were investigated by using TGA, UV-Vis, and CV. The rr-PTBS-based OPV showed a high PCE of 8.68%, while rr-PTB7-Th-based OPV exhibited PCE of 7.04%. Finally, the rr-PTBS-based OPV showed a PCE of 10.31% using a diphenyl ether additive with Micro Lens Film. |
