We have prepared the blends of poly(ethylene 2,6–naphthalate) (PEN) with poly(trimethylene 2,6–naphthalate) (PTN) by solution blending method and investigated their glass transition behaviour, melting behaviour, and tensile properties. It was observed that the blends show a single glass transition over all blend composition, reflecting that the blend system is miscible. The equilibrium melting temperatures and the mechanical properties for the blends were also discussed in terms of miscibility. |
