제목 Heat release rate characteristics of cypress painted with Si sol flame retardants
초록 This study was conducted to examined the heat release rate(HRR) properties of the cypress painted with Si sol flame retardants. Heat release characteristics were measured using a cone calorimeter (ISO 5660-1) with three kinds of flame retardants. The flame retardants were synthesized with sodium silicate and slane compounds. The measured time to ignition after the combustion of the external heat flux in 50 kW/m2 was 9s to 11s. Time to ignition was marked with the  delayed value in 3 s to 5 s range. HRRmean was 46.5 ~ 59.7 kW/m2 range and  Si sol with N-2-(aminoethyl)-3-aminopropylmethyltrimethoxysilane was the most low value. Also, total heat release of it was obtained in the lowest value with 83.7 MJ/kg. Therefore, the characteristics of heat release rate for the Si sols were found that Si sol with N-2-(aminoethyl)-3-aminopropylmethyltrimethoxysilane showed the most excellent compared with the other flame retardants.
