제목 Effect of functionalization of carbon nanotubes by wrapping with SAN on the mechanical and electrical properties of ABS/carbon nanotube composites
초록 Composites of ABS resin and carbon nanotubes (CNT) were prepared by melt processing. A kind of masterbatch of CNT with SAN was made by mixing CNT and SAN in DMF with sonication at the same weight ratio followed by coagulation in water and drying. The masterbatch was compounded with ABS resin using a twin-screw extruder from 0.5 wt% to 3wt% in CNT content. The effect of functionalization of CNT by wrapping with SAN on the mechanical and electrical properties of ABS/CNT composites was studied by comparing the properties of ABS mixed with neat CNT. Electrostatic dissipation (ESD) properties and impact strength of ABS/CNT composites were studied as a function of functionalization and content of CNT. Rheological properties of the composites as well as morphology were also investigated using capillary and cone-and-plate rheometers in order to discuss the effect of wrapping CNT with SAN on the properties of ABS.
