제목 Synthesis Of VO2 NW By Hydrothermal Process And Fabrication Of PMMA/VO2 NW Composite Film By ARGET ATRP Process For Thermochromics Smart Window Application
초록 High increases in energy needs and worsening in the environmental conditions, lead to the development of energy-efficient and renewable resources materials. Window coatings with dynamic solar transmittance represent an excellent opportunity to reduce building heating and cooling loads, which account for >40% of the energy consumed by the built environment. VO2 exhibits a self MIT (metal to insulator) transition thus change its infrared transmittance only through the temperature change (nearly by room temperature) without any extra energy consumption makes it to be the best candidate for a smart window application. In this study, a PMMA/VO2 film composite for smart window application is designed and fabricated. In order to use VO2 for smart window applications, VO2 (M) was firstly synthesis through the hydrothermal process. Next, a surface treatment by using (3-Aminopropyl) triethoxysilane (APTES) was used to improve the dispersibility of VO2 NW in an organic solvent and followed by surface immobilization of ATRP initiator,α-Bromoisobutyryl bromide. Further, to improves the dispersibility during fabrication of PMMA/VO2 NW film composite, a VO2@PMMA core-shell structure was previously fabricated by using a surface-initiated living polymerization techniques, such as Activators regenerated by electron transfer atom transfer radical polymerization (ARGET ATRP) with a ‘grafting from’ methods .
