제목 Multi-dimensional modeling and simulation of hydrogen absorption/desorption phenomena in metal hydride hydrogen storage beds
초록 A key issue for metal hydride hydrogen storage systems is to achieve rapid hydrogen charging and discharging rates at moderate operating conditions. In this presentation, a three-dimensional (3-D) hydrogen absorption/desorption model is first presented, along with a brief description of the model assumptions, governing equations, and corresponding source/sink terms. Then, model simulation results are compared with the experimental data measured under different MHB designs and materials. In addition to model validation, detailed temperature and key species contours are analyzed to elucidate hydrogen charging/discharging characteristics in various MHBs.
