Strong Composition Effects in All-Polymer Phototransistors Based on Polymer/Polymer Bulk Heterojunction Layers |

Organic photodetectors have been spotlighted due to their potential for lightweight and flexible image sensors on plastic films. In particular, organic phototransistors have attracted keen interest because of their benefits in terms of signal amplification and active-matrix driving. However, conventional approaches in organic phototransistors have been limited to the typical structure of organic transistors. Very recently, all-polymer phototransistors, which consist of bulk heterojunction (BHJ) photo-sensing layers based on blends of p-type and n-type conjugated polymers, have been proposed by our group. We have demonstrated that all-polymer phototransistors could sense a broadband light from near UV to near IR range. In this presentation, we show the composition effects in all-polymer phototransistors and discuss the strategy for further enhancement. |
