제목 | Synthesis of Nano size bio-capsule with siRNA and Gold Nanorods for Breast Cancer Therapy |
초록 | Therapeutic nanomaterials have been widely developed for the effective treatment of aggressive cancers because of their outstanding versatility, easy manipulation, and low cytotoxicity. In this study, we describe a bio nano capsule of bovine serum albumin engaged with both Bcl-2–specific siRNA and a gold nanorods for targeted breast cancer therapy. The bio nano capsule contained 2 × 105 siRNAs and eight gold nanorods per biocapsule and was successively functionalized with polyethylene glycol (PEG) and anti-ErbB-2 for active targeting. The bio nano capsule with intrinsic biocompatibility and multi-functionality is a highly promising therapeutic carrier for in vivo targeted cancer therapy and may have potential uses in various areas of nano-medicine Acknowledgements: This work was supported by the National Research Foundation of Korea(NRF) grant funded by the Korea government(MSIP) (No. 2015R1A2A2A01007843). |
