Investigation of Pore Size Effect on Osteogenic and Myogenic Differentiationsof Adipose Stem Cells Using Pore Size Gradient Scaffold |
초록 |
It is well recognized that the pore size of polymer scaffolds plays an important role for cell adhesion, proliferation and differentiation. The pore size gradient scaffold can be a powerful tool for basic studies, including the investigation of the interactions between cells/tissues and scaffolds with different pore size, as well as the determination of optimum pore size range for stem cell differentiation to a specific cell type. In our previous study, we investigated the pore size gradient scaffolds fabricated by centrifugation method for the systematic study of determining optimum pore size ranges for chondrogenic differentiation from adipose stem cells (ASCs). In this study, the in vitro osteogenic and myogenic differentiations of the ASCs in the pore size gradient scaffold in terms of scaffold pore sizes were investigated by DNA, gene expression and histological examinations (This work was supported by a grant from the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF-2008-314-D00515)). |
