The Effect of crystallite phases of titanium oxide on Ru/TiO2 for nitric oxide oxidation |
초록 |
In the diesel engines, particulate matter(PM) and nitric oxide(NOx) are considered to be major emissions. Nitric oxide (NO) are a major cause of acid rain, smog and particulate matter. DPF and selective catalytic reduction(SCR) with ammonia are a powerful device for removing PM and NOx in the diesel vehicle engines. However, there is a lot of interest in combining after-treatment system components to reduce packaging volume and cost. Catalytic oxidation of nitric oxide(NO) is proposed as a technique for improving the efficiency of SCR and DPF at low temperature. In this study, Ruthenium oxides supported on TiO2 with different physico-chemical properties were used to convert NO to NO2. RuO2 was dispersed well on the TiO2 surface with a rutile structure. In addition, intermediate species generated by NO adsorption were observed to suggest NO oxidation mechanism. |
