Currently hydrogen energy has been gaining much attention in the field of renewable energy technology as an excellent alternative energy fuel compared to the other power sources. In the present work, Ag-MOF (metal organic framework) was synthesized by a simple one step hydrothermal method at reflux condition for 2h in an aqueous medium and subsequently, various concentrations of Zinc oxide have been immobilized on the surface of Ag-MOF to synthesize Ag-MOF@ZnO nanohybrids which shows photocatalytic properties. These Ag-MOF@ZnO nanohybrids were probed by proper analytical tools such as HRTEM, XRD, XPS, BET, UV-vis, FTIR, and PL. Based on the experimental results, Ag-MOF@ZnO hybrid material has been showing excellent hydrogen gas production than the other starting materials such as Ag-MOF, ZnO. The obtained results of the present study will provide a novel pathway for the hydrogen production from water by visible light driven photocatalysis. |
