제목 Performance of a pilot-scale spiral-wound air gap membrane distillation process
초록 Membrane distillation is a liquid separation process driven by vapor pressure difference of hot and cold liquid channels which utilizes microporous hydrophobic membranes. Among many module configurations, air-gap membrane distillation (AGMD) has become predominant configuration in pilot testing because scale-up problem and a long-term operational issue can be properly addressed. A pilot-scale plant was operated to evaluate performance parameter and its energy analysis having a total effective membrane area of 155.52 m2. In general, with higher flux can be achieved when higher temperature difference and higher flow rate is applied. The result summarizes influence of operational parameters and energy efficiency in real-size AGMD plant.
