Catalytic properties of FeCu/alumina catalysts using pre-synthesized FeCuOx nanoparticles in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis |

The catalytic properties of FeCuOx nanoparticles supported on Al2O3 (n-FeCu/Al) with different amounts of Cu addition have been investigated in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS). FeCuOx nanoparticles were synthesized by the solution method and anchored onto Al2O3 support. Their catalytic performances were compared with the catalysts prepared by conventional impregnation (i-FeCu/Al) and precipitation (p-FeCu/Al) methods. Reduction degree of n-FeCu/Al was found to be higher than those of i-FeCu/Al and p-FeCu/Al, and increased with the increase in Cu content. In accordance with the reduction degree, the n-FeCu/Al catalyst with the Fe:Cu wt. ratio of 1:0.3 exhibitd enhanced catalytic activity in FTS. |
