제목 A novel electron injection layer and multilayer top anodes for efficient top-emitting inverted organic light-emitting diodes
초록 We present a novel structure that led to efficient top-emitting inverted organic light-emitting diodes (Top-IOLEDs). A thin film of pentacene, an archetypal hole transport medium, is used as an interlayer that boosts an electron injection from a bottom Al cathode to Alq3 layers. Measurement of the space-charge-limited-conduction (SCLC) characteristics of electron-only devices indicates that the electron mobility of pentacene is still orders-of-magnitude larger than that of Alq3, enabling a higher electron injection current in devices with pentacene interlayers. The role of ZnS-Ag-WO3 multilayer electrodes in achieving the efficient Top-IOLEDs are also discussed in details.
