In this study, Ag nanoparticles were successfully immobilized onto the spherical TiO2 surface via alcohol reduction process with assistance of ultrasound. The TiO2 particles were synthesized by using modified sol-gel method and APTMS was employed as a chemical binder. PVP and AgNO3 were used as a stabilizer and a silver source, respectively. Ultrasound was used to improve both the chemical reaction kinetics and dispersion of the reactants in the solution. The properties of Ag-TiO2 were characterized by using FE-SEM, HR-TEM, UV-vis spectrophotometer and XRD. |
