제목 Effects of Purified Alginate films on Growth and Phenotype of Retina Pigment Epithelial Cells
초록 The effective treatment for irreversible retinal damage is retinal transplantation. Allograft tissue replacement is a relatively high host refection rate. One of the scaffolds, alginate, it is currently proved to be biological safe. We fabricated non-purified (NA) alginate film as a control group and purified alginate (PA) film as an experiment group. Retina pigment epithelial (RPE) cells were seeded on PA and NA films, and we studied the SEM, MTT and RT-PCR. In this study, we confirmed that the cell viability was higher on PA film than NA film through SEM. Also cell adhesion was more activated on PA film than NA film. In conclusion, MTT results, cell proliferation was good in PA. The RT-PCR results show specific mRNA expression. In conclusion, this study suggests that PA films may serve as potential RPE cells differentiation and structural basis for tissue engineered RPE cells.
