제목 | Aligned CNTs/Phase Change Material (PCM) Composite Film for the Radiative Cooling |
초록 | Electronic devices have been getting more and more integrated circuits and transistors in smaller packages, and generate the excess heat. So, thermal management is important to improve its reliability. Conventional techniques usually involve conduction and forced convection by means of mechanical fans. However, as electronic devices become miniaturized, mechanical fans and a power supplies become undesirable. Thus, radiative cooling becomes very effective because the radiation transfer of energy requires no additional space and power. Aligned CNTs have high thermal conductivity and radiative emissivity. Phase Change Material (PCM) has a high latent heat of melting. As the PCM goes though phase changes from solid to liquid, it can absorbs the heat from the heat source. In this work, we synthesized aligned CNTs/Paraffin composite and coat film on Al heat sink to improve the surface emissivity and cooling performance. A-CNTs increase surface emissivity and paraffin absorbs heat from heat sources rapidly. Composite was fabricated by infiltrating paraffin into A-CNTs through capillarity-driven wetting. Cooling performance of composites with different amount of paraffin was evaluated by using IR camera. As increased the amount of paraffin, the equilibrium temperature of coated Al heat sink decreased. As a result, coating Al heat sink with aligned CNTs/paraffin composite was very efficient to improve the surface emissivity and cooling performance. |
