제목 Selective Attachment of Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes on Templates using Electrophoresis and Nanosphere
초록 We have investigated the selective attachment of functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) on templates. Our efforts have been concentrated on both functionalization of carbon nanotubes and their binding onto the template such as Si-wafer and gold. SWNTs were modified with functional groups like carboxylic acid, carboxylic chloride and alkyl thiol groups to chemically bond SWNTs to templates. The chemical bonding was achieved by applying the DC field to the carbon nanotube solution. As a result of DC field, uniform films of SWNTs were formed on gold. In addition, selective attachment of SWNTs on templates was conducted using nanosphere. The characterization of chemically attached carbon nanotubes has been investigated using various surface characterization tools like AFM, TEM, SEM and FT-IR.
