제목 Wet Chemical Synthesis of Aluminum triydride Using Dual Solvents
초록 Alane(Aluminum trihydride, AlH3) as an energy material of solid propulsion and explosives was synthesized using a wet process in this work. The solubility was controlled by double solvents of diethyl ether(C2H5OC2H5) and toluene(C6H5CH3). A typical by-product, lithium chloride(LiCl), was precisely separated through drowning out by dual solvents. The diethyl ether was then separated during the crystallization process. The present process precipitated aluminum hydride crystals under the supersaturation condition. Controlled steps including heating and stirring facilitated the stability as well as particle growth. Thermal analysis, SEM and X-ray diffraction confirmed the synthesis of alane polymorphs. The obtained particles distributed 10 to 100 μm in size. The conversion also was observed from AE(Aluminum trihydride-etherate, Al(AlH4)3(C2H5)2O) to crystalline alane, γ- and α-types.
