Amino acids are of great importance in many fields, including solid-phase peptide synthesis and production of pharmaceutical and agrochemical compounds and biomedical sensors. These applications generally require amino acids to be placed in the form of well-ordered layers on the surface of solid by adsorption. PMOs have remarkable features, such as large surface area, tunable pore size, and modifiable surface properties. These features make PMOs a very promising adsorbent for amino acid. In this study, we prepared PMO materials from 4,4-bis(triethoxysilyl)biphenyl, 1,4-bis(triethoxysilyl)benzene and Bis[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]amine as precursors and measured adsorption of Lysine as a guest material. We carried out adsorption studies of Lysine to the PMO under various conditions, such as different kinds of PMO as absorbent, various concentration of L-Lysine and pH. Adsorption of L-Lysine in PMO have been characterized by UV-visible and FT-IR spectra. |
