제목 | Physicochemical properties of novel ionic liquids based on acyclic ammonium cations as electrolytes for lithium ion batteries |
초록 | Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have been considered as one the most promising energy conversion/storage systems, but current LIBs have potential of explosion owing to the relatively low thermal stability of the carbonate solvent. Accordingly, the ionic liquids(ILs) are come into the spotlight for their thermal stability such as nonvolatile and nonflammable. ILs are composed of ionic species, cation and anion, but they exist as liquid state at room temperature. For this composition of ionic species, ILs show the unique properties such as high ionic conductivity, non-volatility, and non-flammability as well as a wide liquid range and wide electrochemical stability window. In this work, novel acyclic ammonium-based ionic liquids were synthesized and their physicochemical properties, such as viscosity and conductivity were characterized. Among these acyclic ammonium based ionic liquids, less bulky ammonium cations showed the better properties than the other ILs. |
