Synthesis and Application of Amphiphilic Hyperbranched Polymers with Core Functional Groups |

Unimolecular micelles constructed from the hyperbranched polymeric core have high application potential in many areas such as separation and delivery, due to their high stability and diverse functionalities. In this study, amphiphilic hyperbranched polymers with hydrophilic core and hydrophobic shell were prepared by A2+B3 polymerization of A2 monomers containing carboxylic acid groups, followed by end-modification with dodecyl phenol and conjugation with an amino acid residue. Synthesis of model compounds that correspond to the dendritic, linear and terminal units of the polymer enabled the detailed characterization of the polymer architecture. Detailed synthesis and characterization of the polymers and their encapsulation behaviors will be presented. |
