제목 Proteomic and metabolomic analysis for investigation of antibiotic response in isogenic isolates of MRSA and MSSA
초록  Nowadays, the rapid spreadingof methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) complicates thetreatment of infection. Thus, there were efforts to reveal the mechanism of thebacterial responses or resistance to antibiotics. However, previous research hasinvestigated responses to antibiotics without considering the geneticdifferences between methicillin-susceptible S. aureus (MSSA) and MRSA. Toaddress this problem, we explored the response to oxacillin using multiomicsapproach into the clinical isolates (i.e., WKZ-1 (MSSA) and WKZ-2 (MRSA)) thatare isogenic except for the genetic element (SCCmec type IV). The multiomicsdata shows that proteins involved in cell wall synthesis, two-componentsystems, oxidative stress, and stringent response were significantly changedafter the oxacillin treatment. In conclusion, we can reveal the response tooxacillin caused only by the antibiotic resistance-related genetic element using isogenic strains and multiomics approach.
