Research into bulk heterojunction (BHJ) PSCs has attracted much attention in both academia and industry because of their advantage of cost-effective solution processes. Over the past decade, several studies on molecular design and device optimization have led to rapid improvement in the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of PSCs, showing more than 9% in a single cell device. In designing materials for PSCs, it is well established that apart from the chemical structure, which determines the optical band gap, energy levels and the morphology by extended thiophene spacer. benzo[2,1-b: 3,4-b']dithiophene (BDP) unit is perfect for the development of ICT polymers. Because it have many advantages which are long π conjugation length, low HOMO level and enhance charge carrier mobility. Spacer in polymer main back bones may produce polymers shape along with the absorption and planarity properties. In this study, we synthesized BDP based copolymers and investigated their properties. |
