With the increasing concerns about the economic and environmental issues surrounding fossil fuels, it is increasingly important to develop a process that produces renewable fuels. The fast pyrolysis reaction is one of the most promising methods for converting biomass into liquid fuel. The objective of this study is to investigate fuel characteristics of bio-oil to obtain by a CFB reactor on 1 BPD pilot plant for fast pyroysis from three types of biomass(sawdust, EFB, and giant miscanthus). From the methods, Pyrolysis bio-oil was obtained through the pyrolysis reaction at 500 °C using a quencher and EP device. Crude oil and dry oil products from the pyrolysis bio-oil were characterized according to ASTM D7544. In conclusions, The crude oil heating value, moisture, and ash content were affected by the raw material properties of the biomass. |
