Barium hexaferrite is widely available in permanent magnets, microwave-absorbing materials and magnetic recording devices, because of high saturation magnetization and coercivity, high magnetic anisotropy, superior chemical stability and high curie temperature. The magnetic properties depend on particle size, crystallite size, crystallinity and morphology. Accordingly, optimal production process and condition of synthesizing BaFe12O19 is important for commercial application. In this study, BaFe12O19 particles having various sizes were synthesized via spray pyrolysis process through controlling precursor concentration, which was related with production yield. Furthermore, structural, morphological, and magnetic properties of synthesized particles were characterized by XRD, SEM and VSM. |
